What’s changing?

Starting 17 June 2025, the format of Stop Press updates is being improved to include:

  • more descriptive titles
  • references to impacted tariff chapters

This change only affects how the information is displayed and does not alter the content of Stop Press notices.

Why are we making this change?

These improvements are designed to help you more quickly:

  • understand the nature of each update
  • determine its relevance to your trade activity

This will reduce the time required to find the relevant changes and help you stay informed.

We are making this change based on feedback from traders who told us it can be difficult to assess the relevancy of updates without reading each update in full.

What do you need to do?

There is no action required from you. Thank you for your continued use of the Online Trade Tariff.

If you have any questions or feedback, please contact the Tariff team through tariffmanagement@hmrc.gov.uk.
