South Korea Steel Quota Category 5:

The Quarter four steel quota for South Korea category five (quota number 058827) is exhausted. Under the UK Steel safeguarding rules, South Korea will now be added to the residual “all other countries” quota (quota number 058011) so that trade can continue without the safeguard additional duty applying until the residual quota is exhausted. Importers of South Korean origin category 5 steel should be able to use quota number 058011 for the remainder of this quota period from 26th June 2024.

Extension of the UK’s Steel Safeguard measure:

The Secretary of State for Business and Trade has decided to extend the UK’s steel safeguard measure on all 15 categories and the application of the suspension for Ukraine for a further 2 years, to 30 June 2026.
