Clarification on import controls relating to swine fever

Please see today’s changes to tariff:

Import controls relating to swine fever (measure type 465) are not required on commercial imports.

There have been some changes to the CDS requirements on the following headings / subheadings.

Commodity Description
0203 Meat of swine, fresh, chilled or frozen
0206 30 Edible offal of bovine animals, swine, sheep, goats, horses, asses, mules or hinnies, fresh, chilled or frozen > Of swine, fresh or chilled
0206 41 Edible offal of bovine animals, swine, sheep, goats, horses, asses, mules or hinnies, fresh, chilled or frozen > Livers
0209 Pig fat, free of lean meat, and poultry fat, not rendered or otherwise extracted, fresh, chilled, frozen, salted, in brine, dried or smoked
0210 Meat and edible meat offal, salted, in brine, dried or smoked; edible flours and meals of meat or meat offal

If you have submitted a pre-lodged declaration for any of these codes, where the goods will arrive on or after 30 March, please check before arrival, although declarations will still be accepted if the swine fever document codes are included.
